Season 3, Episode 13: "Witch Hunt"

"I've already lost everything that matters"-Regina
Hey guys! I sincerely apologize for my absence last week, and on that note I am also very sorry but I won't be posting a review next week either because of my work schedule. If you'd like to fill in for me, leave a comment. Anyway, I loved this episode! Just yesterday I was complaining about the show (I'm allowed to complain, right? I mean I've been loyal since episode 1) and then BAM they hit me with this. It was so good, you guys. And I LOVED seeing Charlotte from Lost on my screen again (she was the wicked witch, if you're not a huge lostie).

STORYBROOKE:
So okay. Basically Henry (with his new, low voice. Ah, puberty) became cool once he lost all his memories about SB. Hmmmm. And I'm just a little lost (hehe) about the fact that Emma's like "Yeah, Henry's basically the most popular kid in school now" and Henry has never so much as mentioned a single friend he made. Maybe that's something we'll see later? I don't know.
I always love the Emma/Regina dynamic. They screwed up not doing Swan Queen in season 1, sorry not sorry. They were great in this episode, and it felt like the good old fashioned S1 angst. It was nice to see.
Hook and his damn sexual jokes. That's all.
Snow/Charming just hanging out. That seems to be a lot of what they do these days.
Zelena is pretty cool so far. I like her whole demeanor and would like some flashbacks, which I assume we'll get soon enough. .
Rumpelstiltskin IS BACK!! AND HE HAS STUBBLE! IT'S PERFECT! (save for the fact that he's crazy but oh well.)

FAIRYTALE LAND:
I actually took a huge liking to the Regina/Robin Hood interactions. She's so oblivious to him, and he's so intrigued by her. It's really beautiful, honestly. I'm quite happy with how the writers are handling this.
The Wicked Witch and Regina also had some fabulous interactions. The Wicked vs Evil this is a little bit completely lame, but I like that they're sisters (woot woot family tree) and I'm interested to see her flashbacks!
I think that's almost everything in FTL for today
LINGERING THOUGHTS/QUESTIONS/MUSINGS:

-Who is Zelena's dad??
-Why is Rumple crazy now?
-They kind of said this I guess, but what do ya'll think is Zelena's intent with all this?
-So is Neal a flying monkey now too? Emma digs them monkeys.
-Why is Zelena keeping Rumple captive?
-Why was Mulan not with Robin Hood? Isn't she one of his merry men?

That's all I've got! Thanks for reading, leave your comments and follow me on twitter @OUAFanBlog :)

Season 3, Episode 11: "Going Home"

"Your happy ending may not be what you expect, but that is what makes it special"-Mary Margaret/Snow
Hey ya'll! Sorry I was MIA last week, my computer was broke and I couldn't write this. Anyway, this episode was CRAZY GOOD! I mean, besides the fact that I was really confused about some of the things. A lot of things, actually. But still, GREAT EPISODE!

FTL FLASHBACKS:
Okay, so IMHO the Snow/Charming flashback was pointless. They have rehashed that whole thing SO many times. It's obnoxious at this point.
Looks like there was a little bit of Hookerbell romance, if you ask me! I'd like to see more than that, it was super interesting. I'd like more clarification on the whole "after all we've been through together..." thing.
The cute little Rumbelle bit was really nicely done. It was like a whisper of season 1 whisked through the show. And the fact that it was Bae's birthday was just really sweet. i loved that. This was my favorite flashback, honestly.
I believe this was all the flashbacks? Forgive me if there was another, and please remind me and I'll add it!

STORYBROOKE:
Okay, so I don't want to go through this character-wise so I'm sort of just going to give a rundown of what happened+my thoughts!
The start of the episode, with Peter Pan telling Felix that he never loved Rumple was incredibly messed up for a lot of reasons. First off, in "Think Lovely Thoughts", Pan told Rumple that he never forgot about him, but then here he's like "hahahaha I never loved Rumple lol." And I feel like if Felix was actually the thing Pan loved most, he would have felt a lot more remorse.
Next up, with Pan and Rumple in the shop, it was once again incredibly effed up. It was kind of like reassurance that Pan actually does not love Rumple at all. Robbie Kay, though. That boy is so amazing I was in shock at his acting in this scene. Amazing. Robert Carlyle also. They're both just so amazing.
The other crazy scene in this episode came after that, when Peter Pan froze everybody. Now I must say that Rumple's dagger drama with his Papa was so brilliantly done. The fact that he kissed his Papa goodbye was amazing. I could tell by the tumblr reaction that some people were bothered by this scene and the whole thing with Belle, but I thought it was great and Emilie de Ravin was GREAT.
I thought through all the goodbyes "wow that's one slow moving curse."
The Henry/Regina moment was really sweet.
The ending was so lost-esque oh my god.
All the things I am confused about are in the initial reactions podcast at onceodcast.com. seriously, listen to that and my entire plight will be explained.

LINGERING THOUGHTS/QUESTIONS/MUSINGS:
- What bad thing do you think happened to everybody?
-How did Hook get back?
-does everybody have their memories still or...?
-Do you think Rumple is actually dead?
-May we have Robbie Kay back please?
-I cannot believe we have to wait until March 9th oh my od.

I have so many more questions but they are escaping me right now. If you wanna chat or have questions or whatever just hit me up on twitter @OUAFanBlog! Thanks so much!

Season 3, Episode 9: "Save Henry"

"I sacrificed everything to build this life, and nothing will stop me from my revenge!"-Regina

Hi guys! So, blogger is being a total brat today (shocker) and so I'm really sorry this post is kind of late. I liked tonight's episode though! I mean, yeah, some stuff was dumb but for the most part I really liked it. The twist ending was fabulous, and everything else was pretty good too. This season is honestly so good, you guys. They've really stepped up their game this year.

Storybrooke Flashbacks:
This, to me, was clearly the better part of the episode. It showed so much of Regina that we have not seen for a while. It all was very interesting because it portrayed Regina as very selfish, which we all can admit that she is. I recently re-watched the pilot and in that episode they basically set up the idea that Regina didn't really love Henry. It almost seemed like that here because Regina wanted Henry for herself, not for him, and it took almost losing him for her to realize how important a mother was for him to have.
Now, the other big character of this segment was Mr. Gold. Now, if you all recall, Gold actually didn't remember. He remembered nothing until he heard Emma's name in the pilot. I love that because it makes Gold so much more diabolical. It trips up Regina so bad and it was so great and I just loved it. I also loved that first scene with Regina and Rumple in the cell. It was all really lovely and it reminded me of season 1.
We also saw Dr Whale! I love Whale so I got really fangirly when he came on screen.
Also, Sydney was in the episode kind of!
And just all those SB people, it was fabulous.

Neverland:
So, I'm just going to let you guys know my whole stance on Regina's complaint that she has nothing and Emma has everything. See...it's kind of her fault. She's the one who killed her dad, and she's the one who wouldn't go in and meet her true love and all that. I'm not happy that Regina's life sucks because I love Regina, but that complaint was really hypocritical.
Emma and Neal were really good in this episode. I liked Emma's little speech to the lost boys and Neal's little moment with his dad. Although I totally didn't understand how Rumple got released from the box. Oh well.
Peter Pan is such a nasty little thing...but Robbie Kay is absolute perfection. Pan was everything he should have been in this episode, and it was great. I loved his whole creepy-appearing-in-the-ship thing. And I loved the plot twist with him possessing Henry. I'm so excited for next week with all this new stuff, I expect it will be nothing short of fabulous.
May I just say that it's so ridiculous that they are trying to make us think Hook is a good guy now? I'm sorry, and I know they do the same thing with Rumple and Regina and it's annoying there too, but are we really just going to forget all the crap Hook did in season 2? I'm sorry, but I'm never going to like this character, to be honest. It has nothing to do with me liking Swanfire or Swan Queen. It's just...Hook. Sorry to fans of him, he's just not a favorite of mine.
I hope we get lots of Snowing in Storybrooke!

Lingering Thoughts/Questions/Musings:
-How do you think this whole body-switch thing is gonna go down?
-Are you happy we're going back to Storybrooke?
-What did you think of the Henry adoption story?
-Do you want to see more of the love triangle stuff?
-What did you think of 'Save Henry'?

Alright, that's all from me! Hope you guys liked! Follow me on twitter at @OUAFanBlog and I will see your perfect faces on Thursday! Bye!

Season 3, Episode 8: "Think Lovely Thoughts"

"When Peter Pan lives...Henry will die"-Wendy
I'm baaaaaack!!!
Ok. Whew. I have to take a lot of deep breaths before I write this.
Can I be honest with you guys? I thought this episode was pretty stupid before the last five minutes. And that makes me mad because most Rumple episodes are not stupid.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of this was super awesome, but some of it I just could not bring myself to like. Anyway, I'm going to start explaining why.

Fairytale Land:
Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to give you a bullet list about what was wrong with the Rumple's dad backstory:
-That guy did NOT look or act like Robbie Kay at all.
-Where was Rumple's mom?
-Is character development even a thing?
-Oh yes, it fully makes sense to just suddenly stop caring about your son.
-Does he even have a name?
I just...I did not like this. And if I'm being honest with myself, it's because I love Peter Pan and in this episode they basically turned him into a weird, creepy, old guy. I think an awesome character like Pan deserves more than that. I guess it's kind of what the writers were going for though, since it definitely made me like Peter Pan a lot less. That's all I'm saying about this portion since Rumple honestly just stood by and got his heart broken.
Neverland:
Here's where I start being nice again:
Rumple/Pan confrontation=awesome! A+, writers, I liked it. Robert Carlyle played it so well. Robbie Kay was phenomenal. I loved it. I also was SHOCKED that the writers actually inflicted a real cliffhanger on the audience via Rumple! I mean, they've been playing the "Henry is your undoing" card all season, but then they chicken out and let him live. But they finally did something! I mean, it's not like I think they'll keep Rumple inside Pandora's box, but I think the fact they they even tried is kind of great.
Same with Henry...woah, writers, did you really just do that???? I fully did not know you had that in you! And for the record, all my tweets about wanting Pan to live are kind of dead at this point. I mean, I still love Robbie Kay, but Peter Pan creeps me out now. It's very sad, actually.
The Charmings/Regina did not do a lot of things here that shocked me or anything. They just hung out like they always do.
Darling Pan just got beyond creepy.

Lingering Thoughts/Questions/Musings:
-How do you think Pan's story will end?
-Can you believe we have to wait TWO WEEKS???
-How do you think Rumple and Henry will be saved?
-Do you think the show is predictable? I mean, I was certain that Pan was Rumple's dad, but only because I read a theory about it on tumblr. Honestly, I don't think I would have guessed it otherwise.
-How do you feel about Pan being Rum's dad? I don't actually hate it, I just don't like how the show handled it.
-What do you think is going to happen with all of these extra characters now?

That's all I've got! Thanks for reading and please follow me on twitter @OUAFanBlog. You guys are amazing and I will see all your awesome faces (not really, but let me have my moment) on Thursday!
PS: Chiefs fans- HAHAHAHAHA
alright, I'm done now.

Season 3, Episode 5: "Good Form"

"Does anyone know what happens to sailors who drink rum? They become pirates."-Killian Jones/Captain Hook
Alrighty! This was a decent episode. I definitely had some issues with it but for the most part, it was good. I'm also VERY excited for next week! (warning: spoilers are about to ensue) Ursula! Ariel! Ahhh, it's going to be great! Although I must say that I laughed so much when i saw Regina's Ursula geddup.

Hook Flashback/Fairytale Land(?)
Alright so, obviously, we got a tragic backstory on Hook to make it seem like he's actually a really good guy. It honestly wasn't that bad though. And actually when they were talking about his brother at the beginning I was like "brother...Killian Jones...Jones...Davy Jones??" But alas, I was wrong. It's just some weirdo named Liam so whatever. Either way, this story really did not bother me that much. Although that furry sail was really dumb. I really liked Colin o' Donoghue's acting in that last scene (the one where they decided to be pirates). That was really awesome even though the whole thing escalated kind of really quickly. But as far as things on ONCE that bug me go, this was pretty decent. Plus it was nice to get more backstory on Hook because I was getting bored with him just being some sassy pirate who hates Rumple and makes penis jokes all the time.
Is Peter Pan the new Rumple? For real, it seems like he's in every story...
Neverland:
Alright, I'm going to say it right now: Emma seemed incredibly OOC in all her scenes with Hook. The whole Emma/Hook romance was just not built up enough. I feel like they were going for a Jack/Elizabeth sort of thing but this just had so much less impact than the kiss in "Dead Man's Chest". Don't get me wrong, I liked the Hook/Emma kiss, but there was just not enough buildup for it to be extremely meaningful. The aftermath though! The way Hook touched his mouth all sexy-like and Emma had that look on her face. . .to me, that was better than anything they have done with Captain Swan in the past. This is not took say that Emma and Hook have such a beautiful love that was clearly intended from the start because it wasn't. At least, I do not think it was. I really think this is a 'shippers wanted it' sort of thing.
I knew they weren't going to kill off Charming. The writers are boring in that department. That's all I'm saying on this.
Hook was actually pretty cool here except for when he suddenly had this intense interest in Emma. (I'm sorry guys, but it was SO sudden). I liked that he saved Charming and didn't take Pan's deal. I think it was actually more about the fact that Hook is actually a decent person (which I've always thought. I never really say Hook as a serious villain) than his need to make Emma love him! I'm looking at this as character development as opposed to his chivalry for Emma.
Henry did not like the mirror-skyping, and I want to see where that goes.
Pan is awesome. I'm going to be so mad if they kill him off because he is actually the coolest.
Everyone else was kinda dumb so they don't get their names in bold today.

Lingering thoughts/Questions/Musings:
- So like where was Neal...and Rumple...and Belle? Is Belle even still on this show?
-How much do you wanna bet that Charming will find some powerful water or something of that nature to leave Neverland? You're whimps, writers. Everyone knows it.
-May we have some Peter Pan backstory please?\
-There was an apollo bar! Did anybody else see that!?
-What do you think will happen with Henry?
-What do you think will happen with Captain Swan? Swanfire?

Okay, that's all from me! Sorry there was no Wonderland review on Thursday, I promise there will be this week!! If you have questions or comments either put them here or tweet me @OUAFanBlog. Thank you guys!
